What is Jadau?
Jadau is the composite goldsmithing practice in which uncut stones are embedded into gold by the kundan method while the reverse of the same piece is enamelled in meenakari. A single ornament passes between several specialists — the designer, the engraver, the enameller, the setter — so one jewel records the hands of a whole workshop rather than a single maker.
